Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp offers a 5-week intensive program where you will work with a team of music, theatre, and dance professionals and master teachers from the two collaborating studios.

Each day consists of 5 hours of instruction in each of the following disciplines;

Musical Theatre Stagecraft, Movement, & Music, with the last two hours of each day

focusing on our summer production.

The intensive culminates with a fully staged, full length musical.

Total cost of camp is $500, with payment options available.

That's only $4 per hour!!

SMTI’s faculty members have regional, national touring, opera, television and film credits, and draw from these experiences to create this dynamic program. Professional guest artists familiar with the partner programs and their missions may also be invited to teach during the intensive.

Classes and Rehearsal Sessions will include:

  • Dance – Choreography, Technique and Movement for the show

  • Acting and Stage Craft; Preparing for a Role

  • Solo and Ensemble Vocal work

  • One on One time with Instructors

Covid-19 Information

In order to maintain social distancing protocols, the directors for SMTI have opted for a production with a small cast (10-12 students), that can be performed in an open-air setting. Rehearsals will be conducted in venues with seating capacities of 100+, allowing for maximum distancing. Performances will be held in the Keystone Heritage Park Amphitheatre. Masks are optional for fully vaccinated students (proof & parent consent required). Unvaccinated students must wear a singer's mask. Additionally, students will be given one-on-one time in the recording studio to prerecord all of their vocals. This is a regular practice on Broadway, and will help reduce aerosol production during the live performances.

Registration begins Summer
